The Blue Horse Horse

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

Meet Jurist, the Blue Horse horse.

Jurist enjoys dressage, sugar cubes, apples, peppermints, and sticking his tongue out in photographs.

He also enjoys flirting with his lady friend, Tango.

Check out those lashes! Strumpet.

We though Jurist might be interested in being the BHI mascot, but he’s not really into blue body paint.

Fine, Jurist.  You’re still the Blue Horse horse.  At least until we convince Ben and Peter to don a blue two-man horse costume, that is.  Perhaps for the Wassail Weekend horse parade?!   Come on boys!  Show some spirit!

Habitual Poses

So, I’m beginning to think these two are a bit on the lazy side…

Lucky for them, they’re pretty cute.

Busy

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

We’ve been having lots of fun here at the Blue Horse Inn.  On the February 10th, we held our second annual event with the Green Mountain Horse Association and Morgan Stanley.

Last Wednesday, we hosted a mixer with the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce, which was so packed with local folks that I forgot to take a single photo. On Sunday evening, we had a delicious wine tasting with Rafael Flores from Artisanal Cellars and Jed Cohan from Delicata Catering.  Per Alessandra + Pork Polpettes = YUM.

After all that excitement, we were a little sleepy.

Between naps and events, we got to hang out with our truly lovely guests; one guest even helped us lively up our snow-covered front yard.

Excellent work all around!

Wassail Weekend

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

Wassail Weekend is coming up, and all of us here at the Blue Horse are very excited – particularly Snorri.  He really loves the winter holidays.

In fact, he’s busy resting in preparation for all the festivities.

Hot in Vermont

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Summer has arrived with a vengeance here in Woodstock.  The only sensible thing to do is to retreat poolside and rest in the shade.

The Blue Horse pets, however, prefer beating the heat in air-conditioned bathrooms.

Stay cool.
