Springing Forward

Spring has finally arrived in Woodstock (never mind last night’s frost), and we’ve had a busy month here at The Blue Horse Inn. This flurry of activity has been fun, exhausting, dusty, successful, mildly toxic, thrilling, nerve-wracking, and gratifying.  In an effort to keep you up to date, here are a few images that we find particularly exciting.  Though in-progress plumbing, stacks of cabinets, and exposed subfloor may not elicit universal enthusiasm, we now find great beauty in previously unappreciated places.

So, we’re undergoing the teensiest bit of construction.  Nothing but a scratch, really.

When the work is finished, we’ll have the best darn fire-rated stairwell this side of the Mississippi, but until that glorious day dawns, we’ll be content to marvel at the structural intricacies of this fine old house, all the while being very mindful of foot placement.
